Liquid Fillability Profiler
Define how your liquid actually behaves and we’ll guide you to the right solution.
Products with the same viscosity can behave completely differently on a filling line. Factors like foaming, shear sensitivity, particulates, and flow behavior all impact how a product should be handled.
This tool helps you build a more complete profile of your product so we can recommend the most accurate and efficient filling approach.
Build Your Product Profile
Beyond Viscosity: Liquid & Semi-Solid Profiling
Not all liquids and semi-solids behave the same way on a filling line – even if they have the same viscosity number. This tool helps you describe your product in a more complete way, so equipment can be matched more accurately.
Overview & How to Use
Rate your product from 1 (very low) to 10 (very high) on each of the nine characteristics. The sliders don’t need to be perfect – approximate values are enough to build a useful profile.
- Viscosity / Thickness: How thick it is at rest.
- Flow Behavior / Thixotropy: Does it thin out when moving?
- Particulate Content: Presence and nature of particles.
- Abrasiveness: Do particles feel hard or gritty against metal or glass?
- Foaming Tendency: Does it foam when pumped or poured?
- Stickiness / Tackiness: How much it clings to surfaces.
- Temperature Sensitivity: How strongly it changes with temperature.
- Stringiness / Elasticity: Does it form threads or filaments?
- Yield Stress: How much force it takes to get it moving.

These fields are optional, but they help us make more specific recommendations.
1. Viscosity / Thickness
How thick is the product at rest (room temperature)?
2. Flow Behavior / Thixotropy
Does it flow more easily when stirred, pumped, or sheared?
3. Particulate Content
Presence and size of suspended particles.
4. Abrasiveness
Do particles feel hard or gritty against metal or glass?
5. Foaming Tendency
How much foam is produced during mixing, pumping, or pouring?
6. Stickiness / Tackiness
How much does it stick to metal or plastic surfaces?
7. Temperature Sensitivity
Does viscosity or stability change strongly with temperature?
8. Stringiness / Elasticity
Does it form strings or filaments when pulled or dispensed?
9. Yield Stress
How much force is needed before the product starts to move?
